This was so different than any other Alexis Noelle book that I’ve read that I was completely surprised with how this book turned out. Kiss My Crown is a fun and sassy romantic comedy about finding what truly makes you happy. If you are looking for a quick afternoon read that will have you laughing out loud the whole way through than I highly recommend this book.
Kate works at the happiest place on earth as a princess. She was living every little girl’s dream and even hit it off with Prince Charming, until she found out he was hitting every other princess as well. This is the story of what happens when the real life fairy tale ends and Kate goes looking for her happily ever after and finding it where she least expects it.
I thought the characters were sassy and likable and the storyline was fun, interesting, and different than any other book by the author but I’ve always liked Alexis Noelle’s writing style and this was no different. I really enjoyed this book, but didn’t exactly love it. I had a really hard time connecting with the characters. I loved Kate’s attitude and how sarcastic and sassy she was, but there was just a little something missing that would have helped me connect with her completely. I also had a real time believing her relationship with Justin and this might be because the book was on the shorter side and I felt it could have been expanded on a little bit more.
Although I didn’t love this book, I still recommend for anyone looking for a quick laugh out loud romantic comedy that will hook you from the first word and be hard to put down. I loved the theme behind this book: Be true to yourself and you’ll find happiness. I loved Kate’s friends/roommates and cannot wait for their stories to be told!
