Love can be a beautiful thing.

It can fill up your life with the warmth of its embrace and spread to every corner of your mind.

It can quiet your soul.

But when that love turns wrong, it warps into something bitter and unrecognizable.

The pain of it promises unyielding noise in place of that half-remembered silence.

Lexie has lived with this pain for four years, pouring it into music that transformed Unquiet Mind into the most famous rock band in the world.

But fame can also turn ugly, twist into that bitter version of love and endanger everything Lexie holds dear.

The moment Lexie’s life is threatened, he comes back to ensure she stays breathing.

Killian.

He’s not just back to save her life, he’s back to save her soul and to claim what’s his.

Problem is, someone else already considers Lexie his, and he’ll kill to make sure she stays that way.

Review
5star
I absolutely loved the second book in the Unquiet Mind series, Skeletons of Us. I was gutted right along with Lexie when Killian broke her heart. Now several years later, Lexie’s life is in danger and Killian is there in an instant to protect what is his. Lexie is having a difficult time reconciling her feelings for Killian. She wants to hate him, but she loves him too much. It is all too much to deal with when she has a crazed stalker after her. She wants distance from Killian. The problem is that Killian is never letting Lexie go again.

Skeletons of Us, despite the danger and drama, is such a beautiful love story. Killian and Lexie’s characters have grown up so much from the first book. Lexie’s pain is exquisitely laid out for us to feel right along side her. My heart hurt for Killian. I could imagine what he was feeling when he thought he would never be enough for Lexie and the punishment he put himself through for years because he hurt her. Anne Malcolm gave us such a soul wrenching story in Skeletons of Us. I dove so deep into this book and characters that I was breathless when I was finally done with the book.
