Cover Design: Cover Me Darling
I was never meant to have a happily ever after.
It was a fate I accepted a long time ago.
Before he came for me, taking away who I am, I needed to escape.
Just for one night.
One man turned my entire world upside down.
I should have walked away, but something about him wouldn’t let me.
Now I’m lying to him.
He’s going to find out the truth, or my life will catch up to me.
Either way, I lose him.
It’s a thought I can’t bear.
People have always told me love is amazing and powerful.
It makes you weak…exposing your vulnerabilities…making you easy prey.
Love is heinous.
I really enjoyed reading this book. This isn’t my first read by the author but it was vastly different than the other books that I read. Heinous is an MC book and it’s a little darker than I’m used to but not the darkest book out there. This book can be read as a standalone although it is book 2 in the author’s Deathstalker’s MC series, a fact that I didn’t know before reading this and I didn’t feel like I was missing out on any vital information. I loved Twisted and Nikki’s relationship! You can’t help but to feel for these two. I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t read it yet so I’m not really going to go into the plot. Heinous is filled with violence, secrets, sassy mouthed girls, and lots and lots of dirty talk and sexy times. I was completely captivated although the book felt a little rushed and jumped from scene to scene every once in awhile. I still thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more of this author’s work.
